Our Home

So I have been married for a month now and I finally got our home set up just the way I want it (well except for the second bedroom). I'm sure I will be making a lot more stops at Ikea, hobby lobby, and Sugar n' Spice to get more fun decorations but for now this is what we've got. P.S. these pictures were taken on my phone and not my new camera so forgive me for the terrible quality!

Western Underground, Pizza Party, and Birthday Dinner

Jordan and I had a lot of fun things going on this past weekend. On Friday night we got all dressed up to go and see Western Underground in concert. We had a blast listening to all of the old Chris LeDoux jams, and enjoying some of Western Underground's new music as well. After the concert was over we were able to have them autograph a poster for us, we had to wait in line for about 45 minutes, but it was totally worth it to be able to meet these guys and talk with them a little bit.

On Saturday we decided to have a little pizza party at our place with our friends Corey and Tricia and their little baby Bentlie. We ate some yummy pizza from Domino's, watched a movie and played some games. We had a blast hanging out with them, and playing with their adorable daughter!

Sunday was a very lazy day. We were able to sleep and relax for most of the day which was great, and very much needed. Then, that night we headed up to Preston, ID for a family birthday for Jordan's little brother taylor. We had some yummy hamburgers with corn on the cob, and birthday cake for dessert. We had so much fun laughing and joking with the family, and playing with our niece, Raeyne. When the party was over we headed back to Logan, bought some groceries for the week, and went home. We put the groceries away and were ready for bed.
Some times I wonder why time flies by during the weekend but drags so badly during the week...Oh well some mysteries will never be solved!

Labor Day Weekend

On Friday Jordan and I got off work early so we could head down to St. George for the long weekend. We left at 1:30pm and pulled into Leeds around 7:30pm. We then met my parents and went to dinner at Bajio. After dinner Jordan and I went and cruised the town. We drove up to Dixie rock, and cruised the vard for a while. After a few hours of driving, chatting, and bonding we headed on back to Leeds and called it a night.
We woke up bright and early on Saturday morning so that we could help bring horses down off of the Danish ranch. Jordan, Emma, and I were the official handy people/camera men. When we got home from the Danish we washed off a bit and headed over to Hurricane to enjoy peach days. Emma had to go to work, so Jordan, Reno and I walked through the booths, watched the lovely entertainment, and played some pioneer games. After that we went over to Lin's to visit Emma at work, she looked like she was having way too fun to be at work though. We then headed home, played rook, watched the farley family reunion, and hit the sack.
On Sunday we woke up, packed up the truck and headed to the Grand Canyon. We made one stop along the way and that was at Jacob's Lake so that my dad could get some lemon zucchini cookie. After that we headed on up the road. When we finally got to the Grand Canyon there were people everywhere! We all walked out on to brighty's point. We took some pictures, and looked at the beautiful scenery. After that we headed over to imperial point, which is another part of the Grand Canyon, and ate a yummy picnic lunch made by my mommy. When we were done with lunch we drove back to St. George, we were all so sleepy that we took a nap on the way back (well all of us except for Reno because he was driving lol). When we got home Jordan and I hopped into the car, drove down to St. George, and barely made it in time for the movie Grown Ups. We had seen it before, but it was just as funny the second time. After the movie we went back to Leeds, and went straight to bed.
Monday, we packed up our things, said good bye to the family and were on the road. We stopped in Nephi to drop off some things to my grandma, and at Ikea to pick up some things for our new home (pictures coming soon!). We made in home around 8:00pm which gave us just enough time to unpack our bags, get ready for school and work the next day, and catch some Zzz's. We had a very busy but fun weekend down in the warmth with my family.

School Begins

Jordan and I will both be attending school this fall. Jordan will begin his electrician apprentice coarse September 1st at Bridgerland applied technology college. He will be taking night classes every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. The Electrician apprentice program is a 4 year program, so he's in for the long haul. He is very excited to be going back to school, and I know that he will do great!
I am still attending Utah State University. I am on my third year, and I still love it. I haven't quite decided on a major yet, but by the end of fall semester I will know for sure. I'm trying to decided whether I want to be an accounting major or a psychology major. As of now I am leaning more towards psychology, but we'll see what happens after this semester. I am very excited for school to start and so is Jordan :)

The HoneyMoon

After all of our wedding craziness was over we hopped into the car and headed on down to Park City. We stayed at a place called the Silver Kind Lodge, and it was beautiful. We even had a dishwasher, oven, iron and ironing board, and a washer and dryer right in our room! While we were there we ate delicious meals, enjoyed beautiful weather, did some fabulous shopping, marveled at the amazing scenery, relaxed in our sweet room, and simply bonded as a couple.

The BIG Day!

After I got home from Smith & Edwards everything started going crazy! I grabbed a bite to eat, headed over to shower and then rushed over to my hair appointment. While I was getting my hair done I received about 50 phone calls asking me where things were, what to do with this and that, reminding me to bring something and telling me to hurry up and get there. So after my hair was all done I sped up to my apartment, loaded my car full of pots and pans, dished, blankets, pictures frames, my wedding dress and accessories, and anything else I might need, then I zoomed over to the heritage center. When I got there everything went so fast. We hurried and set up the cake and chairs and everything else then I went to the dressing room to get changed. After I got changed we had to wait for Emma, the maid of honor, because she had left her shoes at my place and had to rush back there to get them. Then my grandparents were running a little late so we had to wait for them also. So, basically my wedding started 30 minutes late...I was not very happy about that at all!
Then, finally at 5:30pm I was able to walk down the aisle and get married. I had my cousins, paige and denisha, and my niece, Bailey carry my train down the aisle and they absolutely loved it. I was so nervous walking down the aisle, and I just kept telling myself, just smile and don't trip, just smile and don't trip. Then when I finally got up there and saw Jordan's smiling face everything was better, he had to keep telling my to breathe though. I'm glad he did because I just might have forgotten if he hadn't. Judge Terry Moore performed a beautiful ceremony, and after everything we were finally pronounced husband and wife.
When the wedding was over the picture overload began. After about the first 50 pictures I'm sure my smile was looking so fake and my cheeks were starting to hurt. But, all in all I think my wedding went great and I wouldn't change anything if I could. I am so happy that so many of my friends and family were able to come and share this special day with Jordan and I.

Preparing for the BIG day

On Friday, August 13th Jordan and I had a lot of errands to run. We had to go get my dress fixed, pick up his tux, organize everything for the wedding, and make sure my mom picked up the cakes from costco. I also had to get my hair and make-up done for my bridal pictures that we took the night before the wedding. After we got all of that done I headed over the hotel were the stewart's were staying and visited with them for a while.
The next day (our wedding day), we met them at their hotel again for some breakfast and more chatting. Then we all jumped into the cars and headed down to Smith & Edwards. Now some people thought I was crazy for going shopping on my wedding day but come on people it is SMITH AND EDWARDS! I just couldn't resist. While shopping Emma and I were able to play with our niece, Bailey, and our nephew, Kade. We had a blast shopping and hanging out with our family!
