First off I wanted to share some of the hair bows and accessories that I have been making lately. I have been putting all my projects on facebook but I think people are getting sick of it. So, I've decided that I'm just going to put them all up on here :)
(This one's my favorite so far!)

Secondly, I have decided that for the month of July I am going to attempt to do the blog challenge. These are the questions for the one I'm going to do:

  • Day 5 - A picture of somewhere you've been to
  • Day 6 - A favorite super hero and why
  • Day 7 - A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you
  • Day 8 - Short term goals for this month and why
  • Day 9 - Something you're proud of in the past few days
  • Day 10 - Songs you listen to when you are happy, sad, bored, hyper, mad
  • Day 11 - Another picture of you and your friends
  • Day 12 - How you found out about blogger and why you have one
  • Day 13 - A letter to someone who has hurt you recently
  • Day 14 - A picture of you and your family
  • Day 15 - Put your Ipod on shuffle: first 10 songs that play
  • Day 16 - Another picture of yourself
  • Day 17 - Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why
  • Day 18 - Plans/Dreams/Goals you have
  • Day 19 - Nicknames you have and why you have them
  • Day 20 - Someone you see yourself marrying or being with in the future
  • Day 21 - A picture of something that makes you happy
  • Day 22 - What makes you different from everyone else
  • Day 23 - Something you crave for a lot
  • Day 24 - A letter to your parents
  • Day 25 - What I would find in your bag
  • Day 26 - What do you think about your friends
  • Day 27 - Why are you doing this 30 day challenge

So, lately I've been feeling very crafty/clean-y/organize-y. Now don't get me wrong I do love doing crafts and organizing most of the time but now it's just enhanced a whole lot more. I think this is the part of pregnancy that they call nesting.
We have already cleaned out the nursery, and now it's just time to start decorating!! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it :) I have already started making some of things that we are going to need for her such as blankets, hair bows, and closet dividers. (Ok, maybe not "NEED" but things that I wanted to make for her :))
I still have a list of things that I still want to make for her and I think if I post them here I'll have more of a motivation to get them all finished.
Baby Projects:

  • Receiving Blankets
  • Snuggler
  • travel fabric highchair
  • Boppy cover
  • Hooded baby towel
  • Burp cloth
  • Tummy Time Baby Quilt
  • bibs
  • Crib bumper
  • Quilt/Comforter
  • Crib Skirt
  • Curtain Valance
  • Mobile
  • Pillows
  • Closet Dividers
  • Small felt bows
  • Binky clip
  • Car seat canopy
  • Baby Rattle
  • stretchy baby headband
  • baby scratch mittens
  • fold n go bibs
  • picnic mat
  • wall art
  • felt flower

And I'm sure I'll find about a hundred more things that I want to make for her before she gets here but this list will do for now :)

Cloth Diapering/ Our Weekend

This past weekend Jordan and I decided to go down to Ogden for a Cloth Diaper Party/Workshop. We learned all about cloth diapers and about all of the different types and brands. I have decided that I want to cloth diaper our little one so I decided this would be a great intro for both me and Jordan. We ended up buying 2 Fuzzibunz One-Sized Pocket Diapers, a pink one and a yellow one.

Some people may ask why I would want to use cloth diapers over disposable and the two main answers and 1) Because cloth diapers are so much healthier and safer for the baby because they don't contain all of the chemicals that a disposable diaper does which means not as many chemical burns or diaper rashes 2) The cost of cloth diapering is so much less than disposable and we could use that money on so many other fun things for the baby.

After the Cloth Diaper Party we went and bought some baby bottles and pacis at Babies'R'Us then went to lunch/dinner at Warrens, which was delicious by the way :) We then walked around the mall, bought groceries at WinCo and headed home.

Baby's settling into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

This week I have been feeling the baby kick quite a bit, and Jordan even says that he can hear her moving around in my belly sometimes. I can't believe that I'm already over half way there!

We have our next doctors appointment on July 7th and I can't wait to be able to hear her little heart beat again. We are both so excited to meet our precious little angle :)

It's A...

We went to the doctor's office yesterday to have my monthly pregnancy checkup and to find out the sex of our little Honeysuckle. We were both so excited to find out that she was a she! We got to have a 3D ultrasound which was amazing. After the ultrasound they gave us some pictures, and a recorded copy of the ultrasound so we can watch it whenever we want!

After the doctors appointment we went on a little shopping spree for cute baby girl stuff. We bought a few outfits, John Deere cowgirl boots, a snug wrap, and a blanket. I can't wait to start decorating the nursery and to start making fun little projects for her :)

I am now 19 weeks along, almost half way, and I am feeling great! I'm not sick anymore, I don't feel swollen, and I'm not in too much it good :)

My baby is now the size of a mango!! Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil, and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.
