11 Months

I can't believe that Kinzlie is already 11 months old and that next month she'll be a year old! I really feel like this past year has just flown by. I love watching Kinzlie grow, but it makes me a little sad also that she's not longer my little baby.
A few fun facts about Kinzlie at 11 months:
-She loves reading story books, and sometimes after a nap I'll look into her room and she is just sitting in her crib looking through her books
-She is getting very good and fast about doing her scootch/slide crawl and can get where she needs to be pretty quickly now
-She has taken about 4 steps on her own and is getting very good at balancing by her self
-Recently she learned how to climb clear up all of the steps but can't quite figure out how to get back down (I have to be very careful about putting up the baby gates at all times now)
-She loves to eat bananas, strawberrys, mixed veggies, and gold fish crackers
-Kinzlie can now drink out of a sippy cup and we are working on getting her to drink from a regular glass
-She can sign more, milk, eat, and sometimes i love you
- She can now wave, and give high 5's (we are working on teaching her to blow kisses)
-She also loves to be outside, go on walks and ride in the jeep
-Kinzlie is wearing 9 to 12 month clothes and size 3 shoes :)
-She is still sleeping in our room but as soon as we get her new room set up she will be sleeping in her crib in her new room
-Kinzlie is very friendly and will let almost anyone hold her as long as she can see momma near by (she is very much a momma's girl)
We love her very much and are excited to see what new adventures we will have together as a family and who she will grow up to be :)

10 Months

Kinzlie is blossoming into such a cute little girl. She loves playing with momma, going on walks, and exploring every where and everything. Her favorite foods are crackers and bananas. She can make funny sounds with her hands and mouth and can clap sometimes too. She is getting quite chunky but I'm sure she'll thin out when she starts walking. She can do a cute scootch/slide across the floor to get where she wants to be. She is growing and developing so much it is so fun to watch her learn more and  more everyday :)

9 Months

My baby girl is 9 months old today :) She is growing and developing so much each and every day. Kinzlie has such a cute and sweet little personality! Jordan and I love playing with her, making her laugh, and showing her all of the fun things this big world of ours has to offer :)
A few fun facts about Kinzlie at 9 Months:
-Whenever she gets really tired she pulls her bow out or pulls at her hair
-a few weeks ago she had her first diaper rash and I felt so bad for her :(

-we have started to brush her teeth and she seems to be enjoying it
-she loves watching fireworks and parades and has gotten a lot of oth this month
-she is also getting her two front top teeth in, her right one is sticking out a little more than the left one but they seem to both be coming in nicely (and she hasn't been too ornery so that's been nice)
-we weighed her this month but I'd guess she weighs about 25lbs but she has her 9 month check up next week so well know for sure then Now for the fun stuff....Pictures! :D

Independence Week

This year Jordan and I decided to go to a lot of the local events and activities for Independence day so that we could start some new traditions with Kinzlie.
Our week of celebration started on the third of July. We were able to visit Jordan at work (he is working graveyards) go onto one of the rooftops and eat dinner while watching the freedom fireworks at USU. I really think we had the best seats in the house! It was so much fun to visit Jordan at work, and to be able to spend that time with him. Although I was surprised that Kinzlie did so well, I really thought she would cry with all of the loud noises but she absolutely loved them! She was mesmerized by all of the bright colors and flashing lights.
The next day was the 4th of July so we decided to head out the Lewiston for all of their festivities. We went to the rodeo(which was Kinzlie's first rodeo), then we walked over to the park where we had some yummy Navajo tacos for lunch then took a stroll around to look at all of the fun booths. We were pretty exhausted after all of that so we headed home to take a nap before the big fireworks show. After our nap we drove back out to Lewiston so that we could get a good spot for the show. We all loved watching the huge firework show, but Kinzlie was so tired from all of the fun we had that she actually fell asleep during the middle of them.
On Friday Jordan and I took a date night out to the Cruising to look at all of the fun booths, and check out all of the amazing classic cars. Then, Saturday we got to watch the cruising parade with some of our friends and family. We had so much fun that we decided to have Trissa watch Kinzlie while we went and drug main with a few of our friends. It was so much fun and reminded me a lot of my high school days :)

8 Months

Well as of today Kinzlie is 8 months and 1 week old. She is weighing in at a whopping 20 pounds (she has gained quite a bit of weight now that we're feeding her formula, baby food, and rice cereal). She can now roll from her belly to her back and her back to her belly. She is also trying to get up on her hands and knees to begin crawling. And, sometimes she tries to pull herself up on the couch but doesn't get too far. Kinzlie loves to watch momma blow bubbles, read stories, play with her toys, and go on walks.
She is getting so big, and learning more and more everyday. Jordan and I love to play with her and watch her learn and develop every day. She is the light of our lives and we both absolutely adore her :)

A few fun facts about Kinzlie Rae at 8 Months:
-She has found her tongue and loves to stick it out and blow bubbles
-She makes a lot of funny sounds including growling, screaming and babbling
-Kinzlie is a great eater, she eats rice cereal, oatmeal, every type of baby food we give her and especially loves french fries, ice cream, and snow cones
-She is now sleeping in her crib, and does really well at putting herself to sleep (we've been using the secure attatchment sleep training)
-She can now take off her bibs and her velcro cloth diapers
-Kinzlie hates loud noises like the vaccum, nose blowing, car washes, lawnmowers, and the blowdryer
-She can say momma and baba (but I don't know if she really knows what they mean but she knows she gets a response when she says them lol)
-She loves to take her hand to her mouth and make indian noises with momma and daddy
-Kinzlie also loves to take baths and even gets mad when it's time to get out
-We are continueing to teach her sign language and so far she is getting the hand of signing eat, i love you, and milk
-I have also been trying to teach her to use the potty so, whenever I think she is going I try to get her on the potty so it's not so hard to potty train her when she gets older. (She has gone on the potty once already :))

On June 23 Kinzlie was also in her first beauty pageant called beehive beauties. We all had a lot of fun getting ready and participating in the pageant (I especially loved making her costumes).  She did such a great job, and was bright and bubblily on stage. She didn't win the pageant but I think it was such a great experience for her and I both :)

Kinzlie's First Belly Laugh

The other day I had gotten Kinzlie all ready for her bath, and as I was standing in the bathroom holding her and talking to Jordan about letting her sleep in her own crib in her room for the night she peed all down my leg and onto the floor. At first I wasn’t too happy about it but Jordan was laughing hysterically which made Kinzlie laugh too. The more he would laugh the more Kinzlie would laugh and I just couldn’t help but laugh at the both of them laughing at each other. It was so cute to hear her burst out in a full on belly laugh, awe it was such a good memory that we can share :)

Viva Las Vegas

While we were down in St. George for Emma's graduation we decide to take a little trip down to Las Vegas for my Birthday/Mother's Day. We did leave Kinzlie with my parents over night, and that was hard because she hasn't been away from me for more than a few hours. I was so worried about her that I called every 2 hours or so and luckily she did a really good, didn't cry or anything. Which made me really happy that she's getting more used to other people.
Jordan and I had so much fun while we were in Vegas. It was the first time that we were able to have some carefree fun and we loved it! We did a lot of shopping and checked out all of the outlet malls and the boot barn. We also did some gambling, ate a lot of fabulous food, walked the strip, and Jordan even got to ride the mechanical bull :) Were already planning our next trip to good ol' Las Vegas!

Fun in the Sun

Today Jordan and I took Kinzlie to the Willow Park Zoo and playground. We had so much fun at the zoo looking at all of the fun animals. Jordan even helped a few baby ducks back through the fence to their momma. Kinzlie seemed to really like the peacock, but I think that might just be because it was not in a cage and was easiest to see. We are going to be so sad when the zoo closes though :(

After we walked around the zoo for a while we headed over to the playground. We put Kinzlie on the swing and she absolutely loved it! She was smiling and laughing the whole time she was in the swing :) Then, we took her down the slide, and she didn't really like that as much so we decided to head home. She fell asleep as soon as we got in the car, now that's a sign of a fun day in the sun.

6 Months-1/2 Birthday

Tuesday was Kinzlie's 1/2 Birthday! She is growing and developing so quickly and we are loving every minute of it. I have officially decided that this is my favorite age so far because she is so fun to play with and talk to :)
Since this was her 1/2 Birthday we decided to through her a little "birthday." I made her a half birthday cake and we tried to have her eat/play in it but she wasn't havin it. She didn't quite know what to do with the cake, and we tried to feed her some of it and she made the funnies face! I think it might be a little too sweet for her now but I'm sure in a few months she'll be loving it!
A Few Fun Facts About Kinzlie at 6 Months:
-Had her shots last week, cried the entire time we were at the pediatricians office
-She is now sitting up independently
-loves to talk and babble to herself, momma, and daddy
-She is cutting teeth on the bottom, the left one is coming in a little quicker than the right
-She has started to roll from her tummy to her back a little bit more, but her arm sometimes get stuck behind her and causes a bit of a speed bump situation that she can't get over which makes her really frustrated
-Enjoys chewing on and pulling hair (especially mommas!)
-Loves to swing at the park
-Loves going on walks in her stroller
-Started the PU/PD sleep training method, and it is going fairly well so far...she still falls asleep quickest with daddy though
-She is eating rice cereal, bananas, avocados, and carrots
-Her hair is coming in enough now that we can make a little baby mohawk
-Grandpa Spencer taught her to shake her head "no" and know she won't stop doing it, so I guess that's her new trick

She is learning new things everyday, and it is so fun to watch her learn and develop. Jordan and I love her so much and don't know what we'd do without her! :)
