Pioneer Weekend

On Thursday Jordan and I did something that we have been wanting to do for a long time...we got library cards!! I haven't had a library card for a long time, and Jordan's never had one. So, after work we headed over to the local library and got them. Then, we checked out some books and movies, it was a blast. Then we went over to the D.I. where we saw the biggest pair of shoes ever!! They were a size 19, I can't even imagine how tall the guy that wore these must have been (maybe he was a USU basketball player that went pro lol). After our D.I. adventure we grabbed some dinner and headed over to Jordan's friend, Lynn's house, and we hung out there for a little while.

Then, on Friday we both had the day off of work so we decided to go to Lagoon. I had received free tickets from a my work a while ago and so we decided to use them :) On the way down we stopped at Smith and Edwards (my favorite store ever!) and got some new stuff, then we headed on down the road to Lagoon. When we got there we rode a few rides, and then headed over to the Davis Pavilion where we got to see cirque innosta put on an acrobatic performance which was really cool. Then we grabbed some dinner and headed over to the old west town where we saw the old jail, and looked at the collection of old currency. After that we rode more rides, and called it a day.

Saturday was Pioneer Day, so we went over to Willow Park to check out all of the festivities. We looked at all of the fun little craft booths, then got a bite to eat. After that we went to the Willow Park Zoo to see all of the animals. My favorite was the bald eagle, and Jordan loved the little monkeys :) After that we grabbed a blanket and some cold stone and went to the park to watch the fireworks.

Lamb Day Weekend

So on Friday Jordan and I drove down to Nephi and met my family at the Ute Stampede Rodeo. It was a huge arena, and had a lot of people there. We got there a little late and were only able to see the motorcycle tricks, barrel racing, and the bull riding. But, of what we saw it was great. Then we went and walked around the carnival and did some people watching (that's the best :). We then grabbed a drink and headed on over to Fountain Green.

Bull riding...the best part of any rodeo :)

The next day was LAMB DAY!! We woke up, got ready, and walked down to the parade. We watched all the beautiful floats go by, and helped all of my little cousins catch candy. I thought the funniest parade entry was a horse drawn tractor...hahaha two horse power.

Then, we headed back to my grandma's house for some lunch. We had some yummy lamb sandwiches, salads, chips, fruits and veggies, and a lot of other delicious foods. When we were all good and full we laid down for a nice relaxing nap. My grandma's house was quiet...for a little while at least.

After we were all rested we headed up to the park for more Lamb day festivities. We looked at all of the craft booths, toured the sheep trailers, watched some of the ball games, visited with family, and just enjoyed the beautiful sun light. Later that night we watched my family play in the softball games. We were on the winning team, but we sure played hard. Then we watched the fireworks on the ball diamond, and Lamb Day was over.

The next day was Sunday, so we packed up all of our things and headed for Logan. Now that's what you call a great weekend :)

Meygen's 18th Birthday

Last night we went over to Johnny's house for Meygen's 18th birthday dinner party. Her actual birthday isn't until tomorrow but we celebrated it a few days early. For dinner we had chicken shish-ca-bobs, pasta salad and corn on the cob. It was all so delicious. Then we all talked and joked around for a while until our belllies were ready for cake :) Meygen picked out a cake from macey's that was a "How to Train your Dragon" cake and it was so yummy...it even had cream cheese frosting on it which is my favorite.

Bridal Shower #2 and More :)

This past weekend has been very busy but fun none the less. On Friday Jordan, Taylor and I drove up to Weston Idaho to help their grandparents move. Landon, Kirsten, Dixon, and Dava were all up there helping move too. I kept Dava company while everyone else moved couches, beds, tables, and other furniture from the house into trailors. I had a lot of fun chatting with Dava and getting to know her a little bit better. Then at 9:30 we called it a night and headed back to Logan.

Saturday was especially crazy. I had to go to work from 8:30-12:00 then hurry back down to Logan so that I could make it to my second bridal shower on time, which started at 1:00. I barely made it there on time, but no one seemed to mind. I had a blast hanging out with my future family, playing games, and eating delicious food. I also got some great gifts :) I am so happy that so many people were able to come and enjoy the afternoon with me.

A few of my great gifts. Thanks again to all of my family and friends, I really appreciate it :)

While I was at work, Jordan was at a baby blessing for his friend's daughter, Bentlie Ann. He said that the blessing was very nice, and that Bentlie looks absolutely adorable in her little blessing dress. After the blessing they served a lite lunch, and then Jordan went home. I really wish I could have been there! I'll definitely have to go to the next one though :)

Mommy, Tricia, Daddy, Corey, and Baby Bentlie...what an adorable little family

Then, when we were all done with that we decided to go on a little trip down to Ogden. While in Ogden we got Jordan's hair cut because he said it was too long and got all sweaty under his hard hat...YUCK! Then we went to Dillards to get me some new sandals. After that we decided to grab some dinner at a Chinese restaurant and go to the movie Grown Ups. The movie was so funny, I mean come on it had Kevin James in it! Then, we called it a night and headed back up to Logan.

My new sandals...oh man I love them!

On Sunday I had to work which was a total bummer, but such is life. When I got home I made these wonderfully delicious hi hat cupcakes. I got the recipe off of Martha Stewarts Website and I think they turned out pretty good. Then I took some over to Jordan's house, and we went on a walk to burn off some of those extra calories, which was a relaxing end to a crazy busy weekend.

4TH oF JuLy WeeKeND!

On Friday Jordan and I drove down to Ogden to go shopping for matching clothes to wear in our engagement pictures. We found some cute baseball shirts and some aeropostale shirts too. Then we went to dinner at Wang's Express. They had really good food, kind of like Panda Express.

Then, on Saturday we went swimming at the Logan Aquatic Center. We had a blast playing in the kiddie pool, going down the slides, and jumping off the diving board. Jordan even did a double back flip off the high dive which I thought was the coolest thing ever! After we were all done swimming we got all dressed up to watch the Cruising Parade. Jordan's little brother Taylor even had a friend in the parade. We watched all the cars and trucks drive main street for a while, then we decided to go to Jordan's house and watch a movie.

Another awesome car. There were so many cool ones that I couldn't decide which ones I wanted pictures of!

Sunday was not too eventful because I had to work at the Lodge. There was a family up there having their family reunion which meant there was kids and clothes and sand everywhere. But, other than that it wasn't too bad.

Monday, the of our engagement session. I started off the day by picking out all of the outfits that I wanted to wear, then the shoes to go with them. Then I shined up my boots, and went to get my nails done. After that Jordan met me at Rumbi Grill for some lunch, which was delicious! Then, I went home, took and shower, and went to get my make up done at Dillards. After that I went home, did my hair, and went to meet Jordan and his mom at his house.

We left at about 5 to start taking pictures. We went to the laundromat first, then to adams park. After that we drove up to Smithfield to take pictures at a park there, and by an infamous red door. Then we drove up to Preston, ID to take a few pictures at the baseball diamonds where Jordan used to play high school baseball. That brought back some old memories for him of his glory days :)

When we were done taking pictures we headed over to Jordan's mom's house and hung out with them for a while. After that we grabbed some dinner at pizza villa and headed back to Logan. Wow, talk about a busy day, but it was definitely all worth it :)
