Weekend Fun :)

This past weekend was a blast. Jordan and I went and bought our first Christmas tree together, and got it all set up in our living room. We had so much fun picking out our own lights, ornaments, ribbon, and tree toppers, and decorating it however we wanted. I love our beautiful Christmas tree, and I know I'll be very sad when the time comes to take it down.

On Saturday Jordan and I went over to our friend's house, Corey and Tricia, and had a little party. Skyler and Rachel even came over to hang out with all of us. We ate some yummy food, played monopoly, played with baby Bentlie, told stories, laughed, and had an all around great time.

We love hanging out with them, and I hope that we'll be able to get together a lot more this holiday season :)

Thanksgiving

I know this is a little late but things have been very busy around our house.
So, for Thanksgiving this year Jordan and I decided to go down to St. George, and spend some quality time with my family. We left Logan on Wednesday, made a quick stop in Salt Lake City for Jordan's work Thanksgiving dinner, and then headed down south. When we got there it was pretty late so we made some dinner, and went to bed.
The next day was Thanksgiving, so we had a lot to do. I made most of the dinner by myself with the help of my mom and little sister. We made so much food that I'm sure they ate it for a week or more! After dinner we all took a nap to sleep off all that food we had just eaten. Then we rented a movie and had some quality family bonding time.
The next day was black friday! So Jordan and I woke up at 2:00am and went to Walmart to get some great door buster deals. We stood in line for 3 hours to get one of them, and while one waited in line the other shopped around a little bit, and vice versa. Luckily, we got almost all of our Christmas Shopping done that day which was very convenient.
On Saturday we woke up, and had my mom take some pictures of us up at the ranch, so we had some to use for our Christmas cards this year. We took a lot of pictures with the animals, and had a lot of fun doing it :) After pictures, we headed down to town and went to a dollar movie, then had some dinner at In and Out.
The next day was Sunday, so we packed up our bags and headed home. The weather was terrible, and it took us a lot longer to get home than it usually does. We even saw 23 different cars that had ended up in the ditch on our way home. We were very grateful that we were able to make it home safely.

Happy Birthday!

Today is Jordan's 23rd Birthday! Unfortunately he has to work and go to electrician class to night :( But, we have been partying it up all week long! On Sunday Jordan and I went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and it was delicious! Then, on Monday night we went to The Beehive Grill with his dad and step-mom, Johnny and Denise. We had so much fun catching up with them, and listening to the crew sing Happy Birthday to Jordan was hilarious! Tonight after Jordan gets out of class we'll have his birthday cake and open presents :) And, to end the week right, we're going up to Preston to have dinner at his mom's house. Man, he is one spoiled boy! But he definitely deserves all of it, and to show you what I'm talking about I am going to make a list of 23 things that I love about my wonderful husband :)
1. He is the funniest person I have ever met!
2. He always know how to brighten my day :)
3. Jordan is very outgoing, which is good because I am not so we balance each other out.
4. He is also very friendly, and gets along with almost everyone.
5. I love the fact that Jordan always makes time for me. He is very busy with work and school but is always happy to go to the store with me, or watch a movie.
6. Jordan is also very caring and sweet to me, and every one around him.
7. I also love how great Jordan is with kids. He loves playing with his nieces and helps to take care of them whenever he needs to.

9. Jordan is also very chivalrous. He always opens my doors, and is very courteous to me, which I love!
10. I love how tenderhearted Jordan is. He never wants to hurt anyone's feelings and always wants to take care of others before himself.
11. He is also a very good listener, well except when he has his ps3 headset on...lol.
12. Jordan is easy to talk to, and is very enjoyable to talk with. He always wants to know how my day goes, and what has been going on with work and school.
13. I love that Jordan is such a good sport, and goes along on all the weird little adventures that I want to go on. He always plays along with me :)
14. He also loves my cooking, but is honest with me when he doesn't ( which has only been once or twice).
15. Jordan is very appreciative to me and to other people.
16. I love how polite Jordan is. He always tells me thank you, and blesses me when I sneeze.

20. He is also a great bread winner, and always does whatever he needs to in order to put food on the table, and a roof over our head.
21. I love that he is very respectful to my parents, family members and coworkers.
22. Jordan is very sweet and understanding :)
23. Jordan is the all around perfect man for me, and I honestly don't know what I would do without him! I love him with all of my heart and I feel so blessed that he choose me to be his wife!
I Love You Jordan!

The Best Halloween Ever!

The beginning of our best Halloween ever started on Friday, October 29th. Jordan and I helped out with the SPS Haunted Labs at the SER building on campus. We both dressed up as Zombie Physics Students, and scared people as they walked through the halls. We had a lot of fun dressing up and scaring people. The funniest part had to be whenever Jordan would jump out and scare someone he always laughed after they screamed! I tried to tell him that zombies don't laugh, but he said it was just too funny and he couldn't help it. HaHa we had a blast!

The next day Jordan's dad and step mom invited us to breakfast at the Golden Corral. We went with them and had a lot of fun catching up with each other, even though we live in the same town sometimes we don't get to see each other very often.
After breakfast we went over to Skyler's house to pick up the leather jacket that Jordan was going to use for his costume. While we were there we got to see Jordan's niece, Raeyne, with her cute puppy costume. She is such a little doll!

She is so Pampered!

We then went home and started to get ready for the Howl(the largest Halloween Party in Utah). We were Danny and Sandy from Grease. I slicked Jordan's hair back, flipped my hair out, and we were ready to roll! We had never been to the Howl so we were both very excited!

The Howl started at 8:00pm but we thought we'd wait an hour or so to avoid the long lines, boy were we wrong. We stood in line for an hour, and when we were about 10 people away from the front of the line the stampede came. Every one from the back of the line decided to rush the front of the line and push and shove their way into the building. I was not very happy about this because we had to wait another 30 minutes to get in from there. After we got in we walked around the building for a while to see all of the fun activities and costumes. Then, we went over to wait in line for the Higher concert. We only had to wait in that line for 15 minutes, and we got a front row spot. I loved it, but Jordan didn't seem to enjoy it as much. He had never heard of the band, had never been to a concert before, and was not too impressed with the mosh pit atmosphere up at the front by the stage(he doesn't like to be shoved, push, and jumped on....go figure!).
After the Higher concert was over we decided to make a drink/potty break before the We The Kings concert. When we got back we had to wait in another line just to get in. We decided to sit in the back to enjoy this concert, so it wasn't so hectic. Jordan did recognize one of their songs, and enjoyed himself a lot more at this one. We both had so much fun at the Howl, and I hope we will be able to go again next year.

Listening to the Concert!

The next day was Sunday, the real Halloween. Jordan and I slept in for a while because we didn't get home from the Howl until 2:00am, so we were beat. We then woke up, made some breakfast, and relaxed for a while. Later that night Skyler invited us over to his house for dinner and games. So we headed on over there and had so much fun playing with Raeyne, chatting with each other, and competing at Buzz. We had a wonderful weekend, I don't think I could have asked for a better one :)
Raeyne with her snake...she's a lot braver than me!

Fun Fall Festivities

This past week Jordan and I have been enjoying some of the fun fall festivities around Cache Valley. I made some yummy sugar cookies, but they were devoured before I was able to get a picture of them. Then, on Saturday we went to dinner at Formosa and had some delicious sweet and sour chicken and rice. After dinner we headed over to the Pumpkin Walk in Elk Ridge Park. It was raining a little bit but nothing we couldn't handle. We walked around and saw all of the cute pumpkin displays. The theme this year was "The Magic of Animation," so all of the scenes were from animated movies, and were all very creative. After we were done looking at all of the pumpkin scenes we took some pictures with the cardboard cut outs of different animated characters, which was a lot of fun!

On Sunday Jordan and I decided to do a little pumpkin carving ourselves, after we had been so inspired by the Pumpkin Walk. So, we went to Smith's, picked out the bestest pumpkins we could find, and headed home to start carving them. I decided to make an owl sitting on a tree branch and Jordan did a skull on his pumpkin. They both turned out very good, and we had a blast making them!

Oh Canada!

This past weekend my family (mom, dad, reno, p.j, emma, and jordan) and I made a quick trip up to the great white north for my cousin Kaselle's wedding.

The Beautiful Cardston, Alberta Temple :)

On Thursday October 14th Jordan and I met the rest of the family in Brigham City at midnight to start on our little adventure. We drove all night switching drivers as they got tired. We only stopped for gas, and driver changes which made for a very long night with very little sleep.

When Friday rolled around we made a pit stop in Cutbank, Montana. We checked out a local western store, had some breakfast at McDonalds, and took a few pictures next to the big penguin. After that little break we headed on through to Canada, crossing at the Del Bonita Border. We got through the border ok, except for the fact that Jordan had forgotten to sign his passport! But, luckily the Border Patrol was very understanding, and let him sign it really quick in the car before we entered Alberta. From the border we traveled about 30 km until we arrived at our final destination, the Stewart family farm. We arrived there at about 11:30am, had some lunch, and took a nap! When we woke up from our nap we all took a ride on one of my grandpas big tractors. We took a tour of the farm, and my dad even let me drive it! After that we got all ready and headed into town for some world class shopping, well kind of. We went to Atkins (where we saw the cutest little hutterite dolls), the bargain shoppe, and extra foods. Jordan had so much fun learning all about Canada, and the Canadian way of doing things. One of the funniest things was watching him try to figure out how to get a cart at Extra Foods, because you have to insert a looney, and a key in order to get it to work. He thought that was pretty strange. Then we packed up all of our Old Dutch Chips, Nanaimo Bars, and Big Turks and headed back to my Grandparent's house. We had some yummy chili for dinner, watched a movie, and headed straight for bed, we were all pretty exhausted!

On Saturday we woke up around 9:00am and had bacon and eggs for breakfast. We then showered and got all ready for Kaselle and Rod's wedding. The Ceremony started at 1:00pm and was held at the West Stake Center in Cardston, Alberta. We were a little late getting there, but everything worked out anyways. When I first saw Kaselle walking down the aisle with her dad I felt so emotional, and almost started to cry. She looked so beautiful, and very happy. I am so happy for her and Rod, and I know they will have a great life together.

When the wedding ceremony was over Reno, P.J., Emma, my dad, Jordan and I all headed over to the Remington Carriage Centre to take a tour of the 2nd Largest Carriage Museum in the world. My dad took us all on the tour, and told us about all of the different carriages, how much they cost, and what they were used for back in the day. My dad is probably the best tour guide because he used to work there, and knows all of the ins and outs about each carriage, and each horse that is used. We had a lot of fun, and learned a lot of interesting facts.

My dad is the one on the Left with the yellow/tan Jacket on :)

After our tour of the Remington Carriage Museum we went to Reddi Mart for some great Canadian Slurpees, and candy bars. Then, we went back to the church for the dinner. They served roast beef, mashed potatoes, creamed vegetables, and green salad, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. It was all very delicious! After that they showed a slide show presentation of Kaselle, and Rod as babies which was really cute. Then Faith, McKenna, Shelby, and Taylor went on stage and sang any man of mine by Shania twain, then a few people gave speeches for the happy couple. When the dinner was over it was time for the reception and the dance. They served Cheese cake, and had a live dj which I thought was really neat. We all had so much fun eating, dancing, and catching up with all of our family and friends that we hadn't seen in a while.

My favorite part of the whole thing was when the song "I don't wanna miss a thing" by aerosmith came on and Jordan asked me to dance. This was one of the first songs that we ever danced to, and it is very meaningful to both of us, so I thought that was very special :)

When the wedding was over we helped clean up, and were at the church until midnight! Even when we left there were still people there cleaning things up, I bet they were there until one or two in the morning! We drove back to my grandparents house and went right to sleep.

The next day was Sunday, and we still hadn't been to Lethbridge! So, Jordan, Emma, and I grabbed some breakfast, jumped in the truck, and headed to Lethbridge. When we got there we saw that the mall didn't open until noon, so we went to walmart and did some shopping there, then headed over to bestbuy, and played a game of rockband while we waited for the mall to open. At 11:45am we drove over to the mall and began shopping! We all got a lot of cute stuff from all the different Canadian stores, then we stopped by the Cinnabon shop and bought my mom some cinnamon rolls because she LOVES them! When we were done at the mall we were all starving so, we went to the Swiss Chalet for some lunch, then headed back to Cardston.

When we got to Cardston we met my family at Mings, chatted for a while, and then headed back to the farm to pack up the car and be on our way. We left at around 5:00pm, and arrived in Logan at 3:30am. We all slept for a little while at my apartment, then grabbed some breakfast, and went to Brigham City to pick up the truck, and my car. Then, we headed to Smith and Edwards for some more shopping! When we were done shopping we went our separate ways, Jordan and I back to Logan, and the rest of my family back to St. George.

All in all we had a blast on our quick Canadian vacation. I love going to Canada and seeing all of my wonderful family and friends. I think Jordan also really liked it up there, and was even talking about moving up there as soon as he is finished with school. I would like to move up to Canada and be close to my family, but we'll just have to see where life takes us :)

Update

Well I just notices that I haven't posted anything on our blog for almost a month now so I think it's time to do a little update.

Jordan is still working up in Pocatello, ID as an electrician apprentice for Copper Mountain Electric. He is also attending electrician apprentice classes at Bridgerland Applied Technology College here in Logan. He goes to class Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, so it makes for long days considering that he leaves for work around 5:30am. He seems to be enjoying his work, and that makes me so happy!

I am currently attending classes at Utah State University, and I have decided to be a Psychology Major (I would like to be a middle school/high school guidance counselor). I also work for USU at the Physics Department as an office assistant, and at Beaver Creek Lodge as a housekeeper on the weekends.

We do have some exciting trips coming up though! Our first big trip will be to Cardston, Alberta for my cousin Kaselle's wedding, I am very excited and so is Jordan (although I don't know how he feels about a 10 hour drive up and 10 hour drive back, but we'll see how he does). Then our next trip will be to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for Jordan's 23rd birthday. Neither one of us has ever been there before so it should be an adventure :) And lastly, we will be going to St. George the last weekend of November for Thanksgiving break! We absolutely love traveling and taking little trips together so we try to do so as much as we possibly can!

Our Home

So I have been married for a month now and I finally got our home set up just the way I want it (well except for the second bedroom). I'm sure I will be making a lot more stops at Ikea, hobby lobby, and Sugar n' Spice to get more fun decorations but for now this is what we've got. P.S. these pictures were taken on my phone and not my new camera so forgive me for the terrible quality!
