Fun in the Sun

Today Jordan and I took Kinzlie to the Willow Park Zoo and playground. We had so much fun at the zoo looking at all of the fun animals. Jordan even helped a few baby ducks back through the fence to their momma. Kinzlie seemed to really like the peacock, but I think that might just be because it was not in a cage and was easiest to see. We are going to be so sad when the zoo closes though :(

After we walked around the zoo for a while we headed over to the playground. We put Kinzlie on the swing and she absolutely loved it! She was smiling and laughing the whole time she was in the swing :) Then, we took her down the slide, and she didn't really like that as much so we decided to head home. She fell asleep as soon as we got in the car, now that's a sign of a fun day in the sun.

6 Months-1/2 Birthday

Tuesday was Kinzlie's 1/2 Birthday! She is growing and developing so quickly and we are loving every minute of it. I have officially decided that this is my favorite age so far because she is so fun to play with and talk to :)
Since this was her 1/2 Birthday we decided to through her a little "birthday." I made her a half birthday cake and we tried to have her eat/play in it but she wasn't havin it. She didn't quite know what to do with the cake, and we tried to feed her some of it and she made the funnies face! I think it might be a little too sweet for her now but I'm sure in a few months she'll be loving it!
A Few Fun Facts About Kinzlie at 6 Months:
-Had her shots last week, cried the entire time we were at the pediatricians office
-She is now sitting up independently
-loves to talk and babble to herself, momma, and daddy
-She is cutting teeth on the bottom, the left one is coming in a little quicker than the right
-She has started to roll from her tummy to her back a little bit more, but her arm sometimes get stuck behind her and causes a bit of a speed bump situation that she can't get over which makes her really frustrated
-Enjoys chewing on and pulling hair (especially mommas!)
-Loves to swing at the park
-Loves going on walks in her stroller
-Started the PU/PD sleep training method, and it is going fairly well so far...she still falls asleep quickest with daddy though
-She is eating rice cereal, bananas, avocados, and carrots
-Her hair is coming in enough now that we can make a little baby mohawk
-Grandpa Spencer taught her to shake her head "no" and know she won't stop doing it, so I guess that's her new trick

She is learning new things everyday, and it is so fun to watch her learn and develop. Jordan and I love her so much and don't know what we'd do without her! :)

Easter Weekend

This year for Easter Jordan and I decided to go down to Fountain Green and Celebrate with the Ivorys.
We left Logan on Friday after Jordan got off work. We made a stop at the new city creek center shopping mall, and it was amazing! I could literally spend all day and millions of dollars in that place :) But, unfortunately we didn't get there until 7 and they closed at 9 so we will definitely be going back (hopefully real soon!)
After our little shopping adventure we headed on down to F.G. We got to my grandmas house around 10, chatted with the family then went to bed.
The next day we had a fun filled day of Easter activities. We dyed hard boiled eggs, then went up the mountain. On the mountain we had a little picnic, hunted for our Easter baskets, and flew kites. But, while we were up on the mountain Kinzlie had her first major blow out :( IT WAS EVERYWHERE!! We had to change her diaper, socks, onesie, outfit, and even her hair bow! I really hope we won't be having to go through that again any time soon! (Just one more reason I like our cloth diapers, little to no blow outs)
On Sunday we woke up, packed our bags, had a quick lunch and headed home. The traffic was pretty bad on the way home but what can you expect for Easter weekend.
We had a wonderful weekend, and had so much fun sharing all of our families Easter traditions with Kinzlie :)

5 Months Old

Kinzlie is now 5 months old! She is getting so big and is learning more and more everyday. She is such a good little baby!
A few fun facts about this sweet little baby girl:
-She has rolled over about 3 times now! I couldn't be happier or more proud of her :)
-She loves to look at our phones and watch all of the lights on them
-Her feet are something she recently found and loves them
-She is trying so hard to sit up...she does little sit ups and can hold herself up if we are holding onto her fingers
-She loves bath time, but is not quite big enough to take the net out of the tub yet
-We had started to a structured bed time and that has really been helping her go to sleep quicker and stay asleep longer
-She loves to take walks with mama and daddy, but they usually wear her out and she's asleep by the time we get home
-She has also started to have a little bit of separation anxiety whenever I leave the room (which makes it hard for me to get things done)
-We also love to hear her "talk" and giggle and blow little bubbles all day long :)

Girls Weekend

Playing on our Laptops
Grandma Tracy and Kinzlie Rae
Shopping time!
3 Generations of Stewarts
3 Generations of Allens

This past weekend my mom, sister, and cousin all came up to visit me, Jordan, and of coarse baby Kinzlie. But, before they got here we went over to Jordan's dad's house so that his grandma Sally could see Kinzlie. She lives in Bear Lake and hasn't been able to see her yet. She loved Kinzlie so much and had fun feeding and cuddling with her.
While my family was up we had a lot of fun watching movies, painting our nails, going shopping, eating fabulous food, and getting pedicures. I loved having them up here and spending time with them. I can't wait to see them again :)

Cute Cousins

Today Kinzlie was able to meet her cousin Tressy Shay Allen who is 2 years old. She lives with her mom so we don't get to see her very often. So, when we heard that she was over at Jordan's mom's house for the day we had to go introduce her to Kinzlie. She seem to really like Kinzlie, and Kinzlie didn't cry when she saw her so that's a good sign :) Kinzlie's other cousin Raeyne was also there so all of the cousins were able to play with each other for a day. We were also able to get this cute picture of all three of the grand kids. I really hope that when they get older they will all be able to play and be friends with one another :)
